As part of the Associate AI Engineering for Developers specialization, I completed another two courses.
First, I received a solid introduction to hugging face via the ‘Working with Hugging Face’ course. Initially, it is very overwhelming to jump in there and see how much open source work is being done in this field. However, it is refreshing to see how many available resources are there for one to pursue and explore.
The second course was ‘LLMOps Concepts’. I will definitely need a deeper foundation in this area but it was a very good intro into the operational processes involved in building these applications and how it differs from other ops such as dev ops or mlops.
Both were definitely quick overview courses but they were super helpful and introduced me to a lot of new concepts within this field. I had considered joining Purdue’s program on generative AI or Udacity’s nanodegree in the same field. However, even with Udacity’s current significant discount, I think it’s best to stick to DataCamp and the IBM programs right now. Regardless, the most important thing will be to start building real portfolio projects to make the learning stick.
Up next, is the ‘Developing AI Systems with the OpenAI API which I assume builds on the previous OpenAI API course. During or after this course will be a good time to start brainstorming on potential real world projects that I can start working on.
