I just completed the IBM Python for Data Science, AI & Development course! A bittersweet benefit of the stay-at-home order.

IBM Python for DS and AI

I explored and worked with: Python programming basics (syntax, data types, expressions, variables, string operations, data structures, conditions, loops, functions, objects, classes). Python libraries: Pandas and Numpy using Jupyter Notebooks. Accessed and extracted web-based data by working with REST APIs using requests and performing web scraping with BeautifulSoup.

I also got an opportunity to tinker with creating a repository on Github and then pushing out the changes on the project as we went along. It was intense but kind of fun actually! I’d love to pursue more Python courses in data science and artificial intelligence, however, I don’t think I’m cut out for the graduate program in this field. It requires some heavy math, particularly, a strong understanding of linear algebra and calculus which, unfortunately, I do not have.
